“The Science Festival has become a traditional platform for Dow to promote chemistry among younger generations. This year is not an exception and quite contrary as 2019 is proclaimed as the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements by D.I. Mendeleev,” said Arthur Eritspokhov, regional leader of Dow in Russia and CIS. “We have united with other chemical companies for one reason – to explain to children and their parents how science, particularly chemistry, can positively improve the quality of our life. I would like to encourage everyone to visit the Science Festival and learn more about achievements in the chemical industry. Surely, you will enjoy!”

The main topic of this year at the Festival will be the periodic table of chemical elements. This year is marked with the 150th anniversary of its creation by the Russian scientist Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev.

The first Russian Festival of Science was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2006. More than 20,000 people attended the three-day event.
