Interlakokraska-2017 Showcase for Dow Coating Materials

Dow Coating Materials, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE:DOW), will be showcasing a suite of solutions designed to support advances in the paint and coatings industry at this year’s Interlakokraska, the largest coatings industry event in Russia and the CIS countries.

Dow Coating Materials offers a comprehensive menu of solutions, ranging from binders to additives, pure acrylics to hybrids. With chemistry ranging from PU-based materials to isocyanate-free options, and silicone-based designs to tailored rheology modifiers, the business is devoted to sourcing the best possible building blocks of raw materials to suit its customers’ hugely varied requirements.

The business will be focusing this year’s Interlakokraska outreach on latest developments in water-based, pure acrylic technology for architectural coatings, as well as technologies for wood, metal and other industrial coatings applications.

Solutions on show at Interlakokraska-2017 also include:


  • Formaldehyde abatement technology, FORMASHIELD™, used in the development of advanced binders, which remove formaldehyde from indoor air and convert it to harmless water vapor
  • Latest developments in FASTRACK™ water-borne binders for road-markings, with sports stadium owners showing interest in the quick-set technology and high line visibility as well as highways authorities looking for sustainable, yet effective marking solutions
  • A range of additives based on ACID SUPPRESSION™ Technology, such as ACRYSOL™RM-725, a mid-shear HEUR Rheology Modifier with high shear contribution for low VOC* paints; latest high efficiency, high shear builders, and the latest technologies in an enhanced additives portfolio
  • PRIMAL™ water-based emulsion polymers designed to offer excellent water resistance, a high level of scrub resistance, washability and alkali resistance, as well as freeze-thaw and heat-age stability

In addition, within the business program of the exhibition, Dow Microbial Control will participate in the Conference on safety and quality of paints and coatings organized by the Quality Paint Association. The event will take place on March 1 in Congress Centre (Marble Hall, from 10 to 2 pm).
