Dow and partners to open Children’s Chemistry and Technology Park Mendeleev Center

MOSCOW, Russia - February 07, 2020 - Dow (NYSE: DOW) today becomes an industrial partner and a sponsor of Children’s Chemistry and Technology Park Mendeleev center based in D.Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Jointly with the Government of Moscow, Ministry of Education and Science, University management and other industrial partners Dow took part in the official opening of the newly launched Technological Park on February 7, 2020. The Center will be focused on teaching chemistry, nanomaterials, photonics and material science.

Dow supported the museum of the Technological Park with the interactive periodic table. All participants will be able to get information on the chemical elements and compounds in an attractive and easy way.

During this day we remember and honor our greatest scientists who discovered advanced and innovative ideas and solutions and shared with humanity which helped to change the world for the better.”

Dow has been supporting the University with the science-driven projects among young generation promoting STEM disciplines for many years. Earlier, in November 2018, the Company opened the chemical laboratory, which is now a part of the Technological Park.

Children's technology parks are special training and experimental sites where students learn advanced technologies and the ways to work with high-tech equipment.
